Pedro Ximenez grapes were first grown in the area of Malaga.  Only later were they introduced into the neighbouring sherry area of Jerez.  This winery, one of the finest in Malaga, was founded at the end of the 19^th century.  Today the Bodegas works with the latest technology, still producing wines of unrivalled quality and style and still using the old fashion method of sun drying the grapes to concentrate the sugars.  This wine, fortified in the same way as sherry, has intense rich sweet flavours, elegant, with a velvety finish.
